Zayed University Hold a Forum on Scientific Research on Educational Developments

On its Dubai Campus, Zayed University Organized a Forum on Scientific Research on Educational Developments covering modern technologies and methedologies. Representatives from the Country's universities as well as a number of university delegates from the GCC Countries.
During this Forum, Dr. Sulaiman AlJasim, Vice President of Zayed University, emphsised the great importance of research in the development and modernization of education. It gives educational decision makers good and valuable opportunities to introduce new programs and courses in the universities so as to be suitable to the development and progress of academic strategies. This is mainly practiced by Zayed University in its cooperation with international universities of highest standards so as to provide the best education to its students in line with directions of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research - President of Zayed University.
Dr. AlJassim added that in so doing, Zayed University's outcomes will correspond with, or supersede, most programs which are offered in international universities. Meanwhile, Zayed University programs meet the joint integration and interdependence between different areas of knowledge and culture, while keeping the values and elements of the Arab and Islamic heritage as well as the world.
Dr. AlJassim concluded by inviting universities and organizations to apply scientific research in raising the educational standards of students durifng their studies and in their dealings with the various departments and organizations after graduation.
On her part, Janet Martin - Senior Research Development Specialist in Zayed University, who also participated in organizing the Forum - explained that this forum was spearheaded by Dr. Daniel Johnson, Zayed University Provost, and joined by a number of faculty members and researchers from Zayed university, the UAE University, Higher Colleges of Technology, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Electronic University, Sultan Qaboos University of Oman, Al Khaleej Al Arabic University of Bahrain, Sahar University, Ajman University, British universities as well as the Ministry of Education.
During this Forum, participating members of the various universities expressed the importance of higher educaation in meeting and applying the present, new and modern requirements of the countries of the world theough various fields - including science, mathematics and technologies. The participants also exchanged their views of the numerous topics which were discussed - such as the importance of women education, academic strategies and organization, iner-relation between culture and education, the use of curriculum multiple systems and technologies in education.
In conclusion, the delegates expressed their views as to how the Forum has contributed favorably to the importance of research work in promoting awareness in key areas of development of modern education at different levels.
