International Students

These conditions for International Students including unfunded Marsoom Residency Type and UAE passport holders who are not funded.
1. Applicants must be a non-national student with a valid UAE residence visa.
2. The applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at Zayed University
3. The applicant’s parents/guardians must be aware of the financial support application prior to any support being provided.
4. The average income per family member should not exceed AED 3000 per month in order to receive an educational device.
5. An application for financial aid does not automatically guarantee the applicant the right to receive aid. That decision rests with the ZU Students Financial Aid Fund Board.
6. The average income per family member is calculated as follows:
   6.1. Normal Cases: (Guardians’ incomes – monthly installments) / (Family members who are not married or working + parents).
   6.2. Orphaned Students: The average income is calculated based on any court decision (combined with any other aid or income received by the applicant).
   6.3. Students who are under the custody of their divorced mother:
      6.3.1 The average income is calculated based on the court Alimony Decision for the applicant combined with any other aid received by the applicant.
      6.3.2. If the father is unable or does not provide alimony, the Student Support Unit will base their calculation on the court decision or zero (0) income in case no court decision is available.
   6.4.  Adopted Emirati Students: The average income is calculated based on what the student receives as aid from any organization or zero (0).
7. The decision of the ZU Students Financial Aid Fund Board is final and is not subject to appeal.

Educational Devices Aid Requirements:

1. Applications for educational devices may be submitted at any time during the academic year.
2. A student is eligible to receive an educational device ONLY ONCE.
3. The University does not cover the cost of repairs or replacement of educational devices.
4. The Educational Devices granted to students shall be considered as their own property.
5. Students who are eligible to receive an educational device must collect their device within one (1) week of receiving their official notification email.

Suspension of Financial Aid:

Educational Device
If a student fails to collect his/her educational device within one (1) week of receiving their notification email, they will forfeit the right to that educational device.
