Can Microorganisms Make Art?

We will be exhibiting students work conducted as part of a project based learning activity in the Microbiology course incorporating Art and Science. In this project, students make poster presentations of their research into identify the different physiological features, morphological attributes and internal biochemical pathways that allows organisms to exhibit variable textures and color in the architecture of the colonies.

While the actual conference event is closed and controlled by TEDx, we can create a remote 'booth' location on-campus with a video live stream of the stage that students and faculty can observe throughout the day. License/rights compliance with TEDx organization is being sought to confirm availability.
