Shorouk has been practicing counseling and psychotherapy for more than 10 years with individuals and groups. Her training and work experience has taken her across Egypt, UAE, and the UK, allowing her to master a wide range of skills and providing her with an appreciation for diversity and cross-cultural issues. Shorouk believes that counseling is a collaborative effort. Both client and counselor are equal partners in the therapeutic process.  During the first few meetings, she will help you set your goals for counseling. She considers her role as that of a facilitator, enabling you to explore many aspects of your life by talking openly, freely, and without judgment in a safe, secure, and confidential environment.  She will encourage you to explore your experiences and circumstances, your thoughts and feelings, and help you make sense of them. She will enable you to identify your strengths and resources, both internal and external. In addition, she can help you recognize the choices that you can implement when you are ready for change. Shorouk offers counseling in Arabic and English.
