We are excited to announce that the College of Technological Innovation will host the 16th Student Research Conference on Applied Computing (SRC 2025) at the Zayed University Convention Center in Dubai, from April 9–10, 2025. Formerly known as the Undergraduate Research Conference on Applied Computing (URC), this year’s conference has expanded to welcome both graduate and undergraduate students, making it a truly inclusive event. Under the theme "AI Innovations for a Better Tomorrow," the conference aims to foster collaboration and showcase pioneering research in AI and emerging technologies.

SRC 2025 will present a comprehensive, high-quality technical program featuring poster demonstrations, full-paper workshops, and an engaging industry track for practitioners. Attendees can look forward to keynotes and panels led by distinguished leaders from academia, industry, and government, along with industry exhibitions and technology showcases.

This conference serves as a dynamic platform for students across the UAE, GCC, the broader Arab region, and internationally to present their work and engage with peers, professors, and industry experts in Applied Computing. In addition to live demonstrations, oral and poster presentations by students, the event will feature guest speakers, panel discussions, and workshops led by researchers from the region and beyond.

The College of Technological Innovation and Zayed University have proudly hosted this conference for the past 15 years, steadily growing in both research quality and participation. This year’s event continues to benefit from Zayed University's Office of Research and the College of Technological Innovation (CTI).

Each year, over 500 undergraduate students, researchers, and faculty members submit proposals for program sessions, which undergo rigorous peer review. The conference accepts top submissions, including abstracts, full papers, workshops, and industry sessions to showcase the latest advancements in technology. Outstanding student projects are recognized and awarded to celebrate young researchers' accomplishments.

Last year, the conference adopted a hybrid format, attracting over 400 participants and showcasing 256 research projects from 34 institutions across eight countries, including Egypt, India, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Poland, and the UAE.
