Accreditation Overview

Within higher education, the accreditation plays a major role in quality assurance and institutional effectiveness. There are two types of accreditation for higher education institutions: institutional or specialized (programmatic). Institutional accreditation looks at the institution in its entirety, whereby specialized accreditation is discipline specific.
Zayed University has received institutional accreditation through both the US-based Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and the UAE's Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA).
In terms of specialized (programmatic) accreditation, 27 Zayed University’s programs have been accredited by CAA and 16 programs have received specialized accreditation through their international professional accrediting organizations.
