Jane Bristol-Rhys has been invited to participate in the Center for International and Regional Studies (CIRS) Georgetown/Doha major research initiative on migrant labor in the Gulf.  Jane will attend discussion/roundtable meetings there in January and May 2010 and will have a chapter in the book to be published next summer. The title is planned to be: Kept in Place: An analysis of the socio-spatial boundaries that separate migrants and nationals in the UAE. 

The CIRS research initiative on migrant labor is designed to last for approximately two years, at the end of which CIRS will publish its findings in a comprehensive study of the subject.
