About the Forum

Welcome to Zayed University!

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am delighted to welcome you to the Research Forum in Public Health Nutrition (2nd).  We have put together an outstanding program, bringing together leading researchers in the field of public health and nutrition from across the UAE and wider region.

The theme of the Forum is to create channels of collaboration between local and regional institutions working in public health nutrition and to achieve synergies for future research.  The College of Natural Health Sciences is committed to promoting collaborations in high quality, locally-relevant research, and the Department of Health Sciences is leading the way.

In 2011 Zayed University launched a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Nutrition. It was the first undergraduate degree of its kind in the country and was developed in response to the country’s growing need for public health professionals, equipped to play leading roles in the promotion of improved health and lifestyles across the country.

This, the Research Forum in Public Health Nutrition, offers a unique opportunity to establish links, share views and set agendas, so that we can advance our research and, ultimately, make real and tangible improvements to the health and lifestyles of the country’s population.
