H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, President of Zayed University, congratulated His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their Highnesses the Rulers of the UAE, for the special occasion in celebrating the birth centennial of the founding father of the nation Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Zayed and his brothers, Rulers of the United Arab Emirates, have built a solid country that has no parallel in the modern Arab world. A nation with strong unity between its emirates and people is a historical, indisputable and undeniable proof. “The spectacular achievements, which allowed the country to assume a prominent position worldwide, lies in the vision of the founding father,” Al Qasimi said. “Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan had a vision, and through his remarkable wisdom and constant hard work he built a thriving and vibrant nation, a task which came with many challenges given a highly unstable regional environment.”

She added that "If we look carefully at the memoire of the founding father and his positions to see clearly how he, God bless him, realized the worth of every citizen in the society, as they shape the future of the country. She also said, "Zayed has instilled great ideas in the minds of young people and made them look forward to the future.”

He unfolded his arms wide open to every individual and attended to all their queries and responsibilities. He is the head of every family, he is the father of the nation.

Al Qasimi mentioned that Zayed bin Sultan never neglected Emirati women, and sought to educate and develop them, as he said, "The woman is half of the society; any country which pursues development should not leave her in poverty or illiteracy."

“In commemoration of his memory, We at Zayed University, bearing his name, are committed to embodying his vision, to translate that pride into action, and to set the path of excellence in every corner, especially at the level of education for future generations, our future leaders,” she said.

H.E. Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi concluded by saying that the words of the late Sheikh Zayed are firmly placed in our minds and hearts, when he said, “Excellence in education and knowledge is the way to glory - and this can only be achieved through continuous efforts and academic progress.”
