Polish Ambassador visits Zayed University in Abu Dhabi
29 Mar 2015His Excellency Dr. Adam Kachimovski, Poland’s Ambassador the UAE, recently visited Zayed University’s Abu Dhabi campus, where he met with Prof. Reyadh AlMehaideb, Vice President of Zayed University, to discuss ways of activating and promoting academic and cultural cooperation between Poland and the UAE.
During the meeting, Prof. AlMehaideb presented an overview of Zayed University’s inception, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and its extracurricular activities with the attendance of Dr. Abd Mohsen Onsy, Associate Provost and Chief Academic Officer.
Prof. AlMehaideb also emphasized the importance of academic exchange programs, undergraduate and graduate students training, and scientific research.
He also encouraged the establishment of an institute that aims to teach Polish language at Zayed University, in an effort to introduce students to the Polish history, culture and people highlighting that the university has established two institutes earlier to teach students Chinese and Korean languages.
“Several study tours have also been conducted to enrich students’ experience, improve their skills and abilities, and create an effective dialogue between Emirati people and other nations,” he added.
From his end, the Polish ambassador confirmed the significance of establishing mutual cooperation between the two countries especially in the field of innovative technological projects and aerospace.
He also expressed his admiration at the progress that the UAE’s academic and scientific research has achieved the advanced academic standards that Zayed University is committing to.
