H.H Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak attends graduation ceremony of 296 ZU, UAEU and HCT female students
29 Apr 2015Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, attended the graduation ceremony of 296 female students of Zayed University, UAE University, and Higher Colleges of Technology in the presence of official representatives of ministries, FNC members and women leaders.
In a speech read on her behalf by Dr. Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State, Sheikha Fatima thanked the visionary leaders of the nation for their unlimited support and wise directives in helping the UAE’s educational institutions gain a prominent place in both the region and the world, and congratulated the graduates and urged them to make more effort and promote the process of creativity and innovation.
In his speech via video call, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, thanked the "Mother of the nation" who led the UAE's cultural and social renaissance through her leading role in supporting UAE women, enabling them in the fields of science and education, and promoting women's role in society.
The graduates’ speech was delivered by Hind Al Maktoum who thanked Her Highness Sheikha Fatima for patronizing the event and for her continuous support to the UAE women.
She also thanked His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his keen support and encouragement to the graduates.
