Her Excellency Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi inaugurates the "Humaid Matar Al Tayer Assistive Technology Resource Center"
Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, President of Zayed University, unveiled the Humaid Matar Al Tayer Assistive Technology Resource Center at Zayed University Abu Dhabi Campus in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, His Excellency Matar Humaid Al Tayer, Prof. Abdalla AlAmiri, Provost of Zayed University, in addition to Zayed University seniors, faculty, staff and students.
Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna praised this generous contribution: “The establishment of Humaid Matar Al Tayer Assistive Technology Resource Center highlights the importance of individual contributions in the betterment of our community. Backed with the solid support of our partners, Zayed University continues to aim for more community engagement and academic excellence.”
His Excellency Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer said that community engagement has become an important element in supporting Higher Education in the UAE, under the guidance of our leadership and keeping in line with the values of the Founder of our nation, the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who strongly believed and pushed for an “education nation”.
Al Tayer also praised the efforts of His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and the crucial role he plays in getting the UAE youth more involved in their community.
Prof. Abdalla AlAmiri, Provost of Zayed University said: “Zayed University becomes a leader in its community by offering relevant and useful training programs, research and education. We are very committed to our vision and are constantly aiming to develop and offer the most advanced practices in teaching, learning and research.
The Humaid Matar Al Tayer Assistive Technology Resource Center is providing around 45 students equal opportunities of education and recreational facilities that help enhance their academic and professional development. The services of the Center are also extended to students from various educational institutions across the UAE.
