Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Co-operation and President of Zayed University and His Excellency Butti Ahmed Mohammed bin Butti Al Qubaisi, Director-General, Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in the areas of statistics, training and professional development and the promotion of scientific research.



The MOU stipulates provision of necessary support for all activities of the Center in the field of statistics and scientific research and contributing to holding seminars, conferences and workshops along with conducting joint scientific research relevant to the field of statistics.



Commenting on the MOU signing, Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna commended the vital role of the center in supporting the process of economic and social development and building a modern statistical system of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.



H.E Al Qubaisi highlighted the Statistics Center's interest and its need to enhance scientific cooperation with various institutions in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, being the official body concerned with the collection and dissemination of statistical data for the Emirate.
