Zayed University’s Student Council in Abu Dhabi honored the UAE  National Football team this morning on the occasion of winning the 21st Gulf Cup, which was held in Bahrain recently. A celebration was held on Zayed University’s Abu Dhabi campus to acknowledge this great achievement in the presence of players Ismail Matar and Hamdan Al Kamali.

Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed Unversity, congratulated the team and praised the outstanding victory that it has realized over the years, ranking second in the Gulf Cup in 1988, reaching the World Cup Finals in Italy in 1990, then winning the 18th Gulf Cup that took place in the UAE, before winning the 21st Gulf Cup again last week. 

Zayed University students, faculty and staff attended the celebration on both the Female and Male campuses.
