On the sidelines of the honoring ceremony of 11th Sharjah Prize for Best PhD Thesis in Administration 2012-2013 held at Sharjah University’s campus, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, honored Zayed University, represented by its Vice-President, Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim  and accompanying delegation, for Zayed University’s   remarkable academic and educational cooperation. His Highness presented to Zayed University’s VP a memorable shield to mark Zayed University’s continuous support and tremendous multi-cultural  and educational contributions.

The winner of the Award for this year, Dr. Ayoob Yousif Abdullah Al Owadhi from the UAE, has been chosen for his thesis entitled " Study on mechanisms to develop a model for applications of quality and institutional excellence in public sector in the United Arab Emirates ".

Established in 2001, The Sharjah Award for Best Doctoral Thesis in Administrative Science in the Arab region recognizes PhD theses and aims to promote creative efforts of outstanding merit that combine theory and applied knowledge in the field of administration and administrative development in the Arab region, encouraging researchers to model and monitor best practice in Arab administration.
