The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADDF) granted AED 120,000 to support exemplary Zayed University students throughout the academic years 2013-2014 and 2014- 2015, in an attempt to reward academic excellence and recognize exceptional achievements in the UAE community.

Currently enrolled male and female students are both eligible for the ADDF grant, and can be nominated by any faculty or staff member from both campuses, given they meet two or more of the grant’s criteria which include: a GPA of at least 3.5 or more, research work, leadership role in and off-campus, and community service.

Every faculty or staff member can nominate up to two prospective exemplary students for the award before November 28, 2013. A selection committee will then review all nominations received, and the names of the winners will be announced on January 12, 2014.

Zayed University Provost, Prof. Abdalla AlAmiri praised the great support that ADDF provides every year to reiterate the crucial role of the Higher Education sector in the UAE, which contributes to the nation’s economic and social development in both the local and international arenas.
