Zayed university graduate awarded a Fulbright Scholarship

AMIDEAST Abu Dhabi and the US- Emirati Education Committee have just concluded their annual interviews for the Fulbright Scholarship cycle 2014- 2015 and have announced, that Sarah Al Awadhi, a Zayed University Alumnae, Class of 2011, is one of two recipients who have earned this elite Scholarship.

Founded in 1946, the Fulbright Program is an international exchange program that aims to create an educational exchange environment that fosters mutual understanding and bridges cultural gaps. It provides its recipients with full funding for two academic years to achieve their master degree programs in Top Universities in the United States of America and covers all their expenses including travel tickets, tuition, books, health insurance, and accommodation.

The annual selection of recipients is mainly based on showcasing academic excellence, language and leadership skills, and a firm commitment to improving cross- cultural relations through international exchange.

Sarah Al Awadhi, one of two UAE applicants who were chosen amongst a large number of qualified candidates to represent the UAE as Fulbright scholars, is an International Studies graduate whose academic education and community involvement were outstanding throughout her studies at Zayed University, and who will undoubtedly attain exceptional achievements during her graduate studies, all of which will contribute to the advancement of the UAE on both the regional and international arenas.
