Zayed University Organizes Orientation For New Students

Zayed University is organizing new student orientation in Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses. The 4-day orientation will start on September 13 and is expecting 2252 male and female students, 235 will be the first male batch in Dubai campus. The first semester of the academic year will commence on September 19.

Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed University, said the new students will be introduced to the rules and regulations of the university, the different majors, the usage of modern technology in dealing with the different departments at the university, the various activities, the financial aid programs and how to contact the academic counselors and supervisors when in need of help. Students will also receive laptops that contain the required programs needed for their academic studies. Student activities schedule will be distributed during the semester as well as deadlines for registering in a major.

The university will be offering new graduate and undergraduate programs in the new academic year, and the university was the first university in the Middle East and outside the United States to be accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university offers plenty of training programs and foreign exchange programs which allows students to gain experience and become familiar with other cultures. This will reflect positively on the students and develop their academic performance.
