H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, President of Zayed University has stressed on the importance of cooperation and communication between universities and community institutions with their various sectors to support cultural activities, academic and scientific programs whose positive impacts are academically and practically reflected on the distinguished and valuable learning outcomes of  highly  qualified  workforce  contributing actively in the different work sectors.

This address came during the inauguration of His Excellency of the new media lab at the College of Communication and Media Sciences at Zayed University campus in Dubai, supported by Sharaf DG who have provided the state -of-the-art apparatus of modern technology and in the presence of Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice-President of Zayed University and a number of officials and members of the Sharaf DG as well as academic and administrative bodies and some public figures.

H.E. thanked the participation of Sharaf DG in equipping the new media lab, which embodies a high model of communication and cooperation between businesses and educational institutions.

 
For his part, Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed University said the new lab at the College of Communication and Media Sciences in Dubai include the latest technical equipment used in the field of information such as cameras, audio equipment, TV and radio means, editing equipment and other requirements necessary for the training of students and media production, noting that the University is seeking to develop leadership skills, and public service through its programs and curricula, academic and cultural activities as well as practical training programs and prestigious institutions within and outside the state in order to achieve excellent learning outcomes to participate in the development plans and adding quality to the advancement and progress taking place in our country.

Dr. Jassim praised the contribution of Sharaf DG in the preparation of the Media Laboratory, pointing out to the several cooperation agreements made with the University and successful partnerships with major institutions, bodies and business sectors to support the various programs of the University educational, cultural, social care and humanitarian activities, stressing that education in general has become a communal affair which requires  the convergence of all individual efforts and institutional support and the success of its development strategies aimed at achieving overall development.
