Business

Disconnect is an e-sports and gaming company that gives you adults in Dubai the opportunity to play, design and compete in e-sports on all levels. In addition to playing, they can form teams and compete nationally or internationally in e-sports leagues.

How It Works

Young adults in Dubai can come to Disconnect and either play e-sports games or can join in teams and get coaching for competitive play in local and international leagues. Additionally, those who are interested can work to develop new games produced and distributed right from the UAE. An onsite cafe provides food and beverages in a safe environment for young adults to enjoy and compete in the world of e-sports.

Current Stage

Disconnect is working to finalize the business plan in order to secure early stage funding to develop the necessary platforms before going live in a physical location.

Team

Meera Khalil Ahli and Kaltham Marwan Ahmad are both e-sports and video game enthusiasts studying at Zayed University. Meera is studying Multimedia Design and Kaltham is studying Information Technology. They are both part of the Founders Entrepreneurship Development program.
