Student Self Leadership
The Student Self Leadership Program gives students the skills they need to lead themselves at school, home and at work. Many students leave middle school, high school, and college with technical skills but lack day‐to‐day skills that are needed to understand their own development level, effectively solve problems, or help them work with others.
Based on the leadership concepts developed by Ken Blanchard, students will learn the most widely trained leadership model in the world, SLII. Leaders, managers and employees worldwide have been trained in these concepts by the Ken Blanchard Companies. This sequence of 5 interactive virtual workshops (90 minutes each) prepares students to take responsibility for their actions and make good decisions that are best for all involved.
Students will learn how to:
- Challenge negative thinking and assumed constraints
- Set and write specific goals
- Take responsibility for goals and take initiative in their lives
- Identify what they need and ask for help to reach their goals
- Develop better soft skills like listening, sharing ideas and networking that are as important as hard, technical skills
- Become empowered, self‐ directed and resilient
This program provided in partnership with Truvian Partners in collaboration with the Blanchard Institute.
