Course Delivery Format
The Master of Science in Finance courses are delivered in 8-week terms. Classes are generally scheduled on weeknights – Mondays through Thursdays – starting at 5:00 PM. Each course meets twice each week.

This course gives an overview of international financial markets, exchange rate determination, hedging, financial assets and investing internationally.
ACC632 Financial Statement Analysis and Business Ethical Standards (3 Credits)
This course introduces the structure and format of financial statements, the analysis and interpretation of accounts, ratio analysis, and the assessment of financial performance. It also provides an understanding of the ethical and corporate governance standards that need to be observed and practiced in contemporary financial management.
FIN633 Statistics and Quantitative Methods for Finance (3 Credits)
This course studies quantitative methods for both financial and economic analysis, which provide the framework for rational financial decision-making in contemporary financial management. This course introduces students to fundamentals of equity analysis, portfolio construction and management, and the valuation of derivatives. Also studied in this course are Fixed Income Securities and Interest Rate Modeling, which cover the principles of fixed income portfolio management.
FIN638 Islamic Finance Principles (3 Credits)
This course examines the core principles of Islamic finance. Its aims are to develop an appreciation of the Sharia compliant financial products and the rationale for the prohibition of Riba (usury) in Sharia compliant financial instruments. The course will look in detail at the financial techniques applied by Islamic banks with detailed analysis of Islamic asset and fund management and risk sharing concepts (PLS model). Additionally, this course will examine the Islamic Sukuk (bond) market and Islamic Takaful (insurance).

Finally, this module discusses topics in corporate responsibility and regulatory standards for financial analysts, under the prism of Financial Technology and financial innovation. Topics include cybersecurity, privacy and RegTech (Regulatory Technology) for Finance.
