COVID-19 related cyber-attacks have increased recently and it is most likely that attackers will continue targeting individuals & organizations using fake templates in phishing emails, malicious links, mobile apps and other form of cyber-attacks.

Following is a recent cyber-attack that was detected in targeting users in KSA.

We request everyone to follow the below recommendations to avoid falling to phishing attacks or become victim of any type of cyber-attack.

Recommendations:

  • The COVID-19 pandemic poses the risk of increased cyberattacks.

  • Hackers are targeting people's increased dependence on digital tools.

  • Be far more careful than usual when installing software and giving out any personal information.

  • Don’t click on links from email. Do not accept or open untrusted files, attachments, emails or links.

  • Don’t provide permissions or download unknown mobile applications.

  • If the device was infected, we highly recommend applying factory reset on your mobile phone.

  • Keep your device patched and updated.
