Campus Shutdown
As a part of the precautionary and preventive measures for the COVID-19, on March 08, 2020, all students were asked to leave both University campuses for an early two weeks Spring Break prior to the continuation of the Spring 2019/20 Semester online.
Then the UAE government announced the activation of the "remote work" system for specific categories of employees of all federal authorities for a period of two weeks starting from Sunday, March 15th, 2020.
The "remote working" system supports the continuity of work flow and efficiency across various departments and sectors in the federal authorities during the current situation. It also enhances the utilization of our smart services and reduces visits to campus for preventive reasons.

Remote Working applies to the following employees in the University:

Pregnant employees

People of determination
-
Employees above 60 years old
-
Mothers of children in Grade Nine and below

Employees with chronic diseases

Employees with immune deficiencies
The length of the remote working was extended until further notice, and also included all staff and faculty to work from Home.
Another announcement came from the Ministry of Education, stating that the Summer Semester will also be conducted online from home, to ensure the safety of all member of the ZU community amid the pandemic crisis.
