COVID-19 Awareness:



Note: Not everyone with a cold or upper respiratory symptom needs to get tested for COVID-19. Only a person with a symptoms and travel history can do the test.


Is there any treatment for COVID-19?

The treatment of COVID-19 depends on enhancing the immunity level of patients, treating the symptoms and easing complications, as there is no specific treatment for the virus to date.


Is there a vaccine against the Novel coronavirus (COVID-19)?

Currently there is no available vaccine that protects against novel coronavirus.






Covid-19 Tracking System

Zayed university has implemented COVID-19 Statistics Tracking System for Students, faculty and staff in order to:

  • Monitor any positive COVID-19 cases among ZU community.

  • Monitor students, Faculty and Staff members who have been in close contact with individuals who have contracted the virus.

  • Track the number of vaccinated members (2 doses) so far, in an attempt to proactively avoid the spread of COVID-19.

  • Keep track of remote working mothers.

You are kindly requested to register your complete details onto the system by:

  • Logging in using your ZU credentials (username and password)

In case you have:

  • Tested positive for COVID-19

  • Been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive case

  • Received the COVID-19 Vaccine

  • A child learning remotely

Health & Safety:


1. Entry to Campus

All students, faculty, staff and visitors  are required to present a negative the PCR test every (7) days, except those who have received both doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine (vaccination card or copy of it will be required).

2. Social Distancing & Personal measures

  • All students, faculty, staff and visitors should maintain a safe distance of 2 meters in the common areas and 1.5 meters within classrooms.

  • Floor labels have been placed to ensure physical distancing  of 1.5 meters where physical services are being offered such as cafes, business center, etc.

  • All students, faculty, staff and visitors must wear face masks at all times upon entry to Campus. Failure to comply with the procedures will result in denial of entry.

  • Students, faculty and staff are required to wash their hands and use sanitizer frequently.

3. Movement around Campus

Non-essential movement of employees and students between departments and wings to be reduced as much as possible.>

4. Food & Beverages

  • ZU’s main Canteen will be available to provide packed food respecting the mandatory distancing.

  • Only limited number of cafes will be open.

  • The Emirates Co-op Society will remain open on Dubai Campus.

  • There will be a limited number of water dispensers. Students are encouraged to bring their own reusable bottle of water.

  • Food vending machined are no longer available on both campuses.

  • Students and employees are encouraged to bring their own food.

5. Medical Care & Wellness Centers

Zayed University has two Medical Centers that are in direct contact with Health authorities in case of an emergency.

Both centers have worked with Health authorities to provide thermal detectors at each entrance, and secure a specialized medical team available on Campus. Medical Centers will only be open for emergencies, however online consultations are available Sunday to Thursday between 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
