COVID-19 Statistics Tracking System & Quarantine Process at ZU

Dear Faculty & Staff,

We are pleased to inform you that a COVID-19 Statistics Tracking System has been implemented for the Zayed University Faculty and Staff on both campuses in order to:

  • Monitor any positive COVID-19 cases among Faculty and Staff members;

  • Monitor Faculty and Staff members who have been in close contact with individuals who have contracted the virus; and

  • Track the number of vaccinated ZU employees (2 doses) so far, in an attempt to proactively avoid the spread of COVID-19.

You are kindly requested to register your complete details onto the system by:

  • Clicking on the following link: COVID-19 Statistics System, and

  • Logging in using your ZU credentials (username and password)

In case you have:

  • tested positive for COVID-19

  • been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive case

  • received the COVID-19 Vaccine

Quarantine Process for Positive COVID-19 and Close Contacts:

  • Any employee who tests positive must quarantine for at least 10 days and monitor how his/her symptoms develop.

  • Any employee who has been in contact with a COVID-19 positive case must follow the steps below:

    1. If the employee has received both doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, he/she will be required to quarantine for 5 days. The quarantine period will be considered as Remote Work, in accordance with the rules established in this regard.

    2. If the employee has not received both doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine, he/she will be required to quarantine for 10 days. The quarantine period will be deducted from his annual leave balance, if any, otherwise, it will be considered as Unpaid Leave. The employee may be required to perform any tasks assigned to him or her by their line manager during the quarantine period if/as required.

    3. If the employee is exempt from taking the Vaccine, he/she will be required to quarantine for 10 days. The quarantine period will be considered as Remote Work, subject to submitting a medical report for exemption from taking the Vaccine.

We urge you all to adhere to the precautionary measures set by the concerned official authorities so we can keep our ZU Community safe and help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Vice President’s Office
