Dear Zayed University Students,

As we approach the beginning of the Spring Semester of the Academic Year of 2020-2021, whilst still adapting to the precautionary measures instructed by the UAE Ministry of Education, this is to inform you that Zayed University has been granted approval to continue, in the Spring 2021 semester, with its hybrid delivery model – a combination of online and selective in-person, on-campus classes for all practical (lab and studio) courses.

The courses that will be held on campus are offered primarily by the following colleges:

  • Arts and Creative Enterprises,

  • Natural and Health Sciences, and

  • Technological Innovation.

All other courses, especially those of the colleges of Business, Education, Humanities and Communication will remain online.

Please Note:

  • Your schedule may include classes held online and/or on campus.

  • Please keep in mind that there may be some courses that will have lectures both online and on campus, such as those of from the College of Natural & Health Sciences.

Examination and Grading Model and Regulations for the Spring 2021 Semester:

  • All midterm and final exams will be held on-campus, while we all observe mandated health and safety measures released by the Ministry and others.  Details on the on-campus exams will be provided in due course.

  • Grading mode, class attendance and course withdrawals in the Spring semester will return to the standard rules and regulations as it was the case before the pandemic.  Therefore, the Pass/No Pass grades will no longer be available, class attendance will be counted, and course withdrawal schedule will follow the published calendar.

Zayed University is here to support you and stand by your side throughout your academic journey. It is our mission to ensure that you graduate with the knowledge and skills that will take you closer to successfully achieving your career aspirations and your future ambitions.
