Bio

Holding a master’s Science in Computing and Systems from University of Hull, United Kingdom, a master’s Science in mathematics from University of Sindh, Pakistan, and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and Statistics from University of Sindh, Pakistan.

I joined Zayed University as an adjunct instructor in Spring 2020 in the Faculty University College, then I moved to the College of Technological Innovation. Since Fall 2020 I joined the American University in Dubai as an Adjunct Information Technology Instructor in the School of Arts and Sciences. Prior to Spring 2020, I worked for twelve years as a Full Time Mathematics and Information Technology Instructor with the Higher College of Technology, Dubai Women’s College. Prior to Dubai Women’s College, I worked for three years as a Mathematics and Information Technology Adjunct and ICDL Trainer with Abu Dhabi Men’s College (ADMC) and Sharjah Women’s College (SWC) – Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).

Prior to working with the HCT, I worked as a Registration Officer at the American University of Sharjah for two years, as an Admission Officer with University of Dubai for three years and worked with Mashreq Bank as a Customer Service Officer for five years.

Teaching Areas

Undergraduate Courses in the areas of mathematics, statistics, financial mathematics, business decision making, business mathematics, and quantitative reasoning. On the other side, information technology and innovation, information systems, computer applications in business, database systems, web technologies, system analysis and design.

Research and Professional Activities

Research and Professional Activities 

  • Delivered several information technology and professional development workshops for students, staff and faculty at Dubai Women’s College such as advanced MS Office tools, Storytelling, video making and presentation using Camtasia, PowToon, and Prezi.
  • Presented a series of workshops of Cambridge International Diploma in information technology skills for staff and faculty at Dubai Women’s College.
  • Delivered a series of interactive ICDL training sessions in Arabic and English to first line and middle management government employees, such as Armed Forces, Abu Dhabi Police, ADWEA, DEWAN, Work Replacement Program (WPG) at the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Technology (CERT), Abu Dhabi, Higher Colleges of Technology.
  • Presented continues professional development training sessions for staff and faculty on using e-learning systems, such as Black Board e-learning system, SafeAssign, Lockdown Browser, ALEX, e-Textbook, portal, SharePoint at Dubai Women’s College.
  • Presented several workshops on Chaperone Training; Escorting Students to International Educational Trips” for female chaperones prior to the trips. Dubai Women’s College.
  • Presented several workshops on Personality Dimensions for undergraduate students at Dubai Women’s College.
  • Delivered sessions on motivating students, by ensuring a variety of teaching styles are developed and applied to ensure an efficient delivery of the subjects, career development; academic advising and helped students define and developed realistic educational career plans through schedule planning for each semester for students.
  • Monitored and evaluated graduate students during their internships and work placements at Dubai Women’s College.
  • Delivered regular extra-curricular classes, such as face care and facial, make-up application, and fruit carving for DWC students.
