Ms. Najla Al Qasemi is an instructor in the College of Technological Innovation – at Zayed University, Dubai, UAE. Her research interests are in the areas of E-Government, ITC Governance, Social Well-being and public Policy Indicators, Decision making and Public Organization transparency. She did her Master degree on Management Information Systems focusing on E-Government and Governance. As a PhD Candidate, her research is using Multi-Criteria Decision Analyses to study the use of Social Well-being indicators in the application of ITC public policies. She is currently preparing her PhD thesis in Stockholm University – Sweden. Najla Al Qasemi published one article as a conference paper and focusing her writing currently in research related to her PhD. She joined the Academia recently, but she has long experience of around 18 years in research, and international relations in many countries around the world. She worked as a research assistance in the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and was the Head of the Information Department when she left to join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she served in Geneva, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Lisbon as Ambassador of UAE.
Ms. Najla has received many distinguished awards such as: the UAE Pioneers award as the first UAE Women Ambassador. awarded by H.H Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum. In addition to letters of recognition received from Ministers of Health, Labor, Economy, and Foreign Trade for organizing and following the work of Ministries with International Organization, and foreign governments.
