Bio

Dr Faouzi Kamoun is an Interim Dean and Associate Dean in the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University in Dubai. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University and his MBA in Management from McGill University. Before joining Zayed University, he was an Associate Professor and Dean in the College of Information Technology at the University of Dubai. Prior to that, he spent around eight years at Nortel Networks, Montreal, where he assumed several positions, including senior systems engineer/technical advisor in the Advanced Optics Transport & Broadband Networks Division. Dr. Faouzi was a recipient of an IBM faculty award in 2008. He was also the recipient of the University of Dubai’s best faculty award in 2004, and Nortel Networks CEO top talent awards in 2000 and 2001.

Dr Faouzi’s main research interests are in the areas of performance evaluation, management and applications of telecommunications and next generation networks. His research has also focused on E-commerce security, IT management, innovation and adoption, and IT education.

Dr Faouzi is a member of the editorial board of the International Arab Journal of e-Technology, the International Journal of Security in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems, the International Journal on Advances in Intelligent Systems, and the Aceh International Journal of Science & Technology.
