Ahmed is an instructor at the College of Technological Innovation at Zayed University. He holds a  Master of Research (MRes) in Telecommunications Computer from University College London. He received his BEng(Hons) deegree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nottingham Trent University.

Prior to joining Zayed University Ahmed worked as a  Computing Lecturer at Leicester College for 5 years (teaching computing and Mathematics courses and also delivering training on the IT infrastructure technician apprenticeship course).

Ahmed has worked in the Telecommunications industry as a Systems engineer and also worked in the IT support sector.
