Associate Professor
Dr. Munir Majdalawieh is the Interim Executive Director of the Institute of Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) at Zayed University. He was appointed to hold the following administrative positions at ZU: Department Chair (August 2017 – December 2024), Advisor to the Provost on Community Engagement and Outreach (January 2017 – May 2018), ZU/SAP Dual Study Coordinator (January 2017 – Current). Assistant Dean for Students (August 2015 – December 2015); Enterprise Computing/Systems Coordinator (August 2012 – June 2015). Before joining ZU in 2012, he worked for the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in UAE for six years. He worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, Hewlett Packard, Compaq Computer Corporation, and Digital Equipment Corporation in the USA for more than 22 years. He has published many peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conference proceedings covering Digital Transformation, Business Process Modeling, Data Science, AI, IT Audit and Control, Supply Chain, Enterprise Information Management / Cybersecurity, and other related topics.
Dr. Majdalawieh obtained his Ph.D. in IT and his EMBA from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, and his MSc. in Computer Science and Applied Math from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. He has taught and developed several courses and programs in information systems and technology management, including Master of Science in Digital Transformation and Innovation, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Technology Management, Chief AI Officer Program, SCM & logistics, ERP, MIS, project management, systems analysis and design, business process management, IT strategy and governance, IT audit and control, and green computing.
