Bio

Abeer Mousa AlHasan completed her Master degree in Industrial Engineering/ Management from
University of Jordan, Jordan. Her research interest is in sustainability and smart city. She is certified in “Quality Process Analyst” and a member of American Society for Quality (ASQ) since 2012. She is granted her bachelor degree in “Computer Information System” from Applied Science University, Jordan. She started as a VB Programmer in Royal Jordanian then worked in parallel between industry and academia during her Masters studies. She has held a position as a Junior Quality Specialist, Jordan. Abeer is a motivated, professional and innovative project developer, an effective communicator with outstanding technical and academic achievements. Abeer has over 10 years experience in IT Industry and IT Academia. Having said this, Abeer has recently recognized as an Advance HE fellowship from UK Professional Standards Framework and certified in HE teaching practices from Harvard University.

Teaching Areas

To explore new fields of IT in the developing urban context is a privilege, especially as this focuses on the growth and character of smart cities, their present and all our futures. Seeking answers to the puzzles generated by the effects smart cities have on their environment will prove both intriguing and hugely rewarding. I am an academic professional with ten years’ experience teaching Quality Management and Information Technology courses. These courses I co-designed, adding modules in Project Management, Management Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Design and Knowledge Management. I taught Methodologies of Science Research and Development, Fundamentals of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Data Management and Analysis, and Development Maths for undergraduates. I now teach a foundation to IT and Management Information System.
