About Us

The College of Technological Innovation offers programs that prepare students for their careers in Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS) with practical and competency-based knowledge and skills needed to manage and apply IT and IS solutions in tomorrow’s enterprises. The United Arab Emirates and the region have a strong need for professionals in these fields in both the government and private sectors. To achieve this the college offers Bachelor and Master programs in these rapidly developing fields. These programs are offered in two departments: The Department of Computing and Applied Technology, and the Department of Information Systems and Technology Management. CTI Mission

The College of Technological Innovation seeks to produce information technology and information systems graduates recognized in the United Arab Emirates, and the rest of the world through experiential pedagogy. It also seeks to develop a strong applied research capacity through innovative solutions to emerging challenges.

CTI Goals

  • Improve teaching, learning and the quality of academic programs to fulfill dynamic market demands and achieve national and international accreditation in information technology and information systems.
  • Develop a strong base of research capacity and expertise to meet the UAE’s national information technology and information systems needs with focus on supporting knowledge transfer, commercialization and community outreach.
  • Equip students for professional success by developing work ethics, social responsibilities, life-long learning and communication skills.

Accreditation

All our programs are accredited by the UAE Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). Additionally, our Bachelor of Science programs in Information Technology, Concentration in Security and Network Technologies (BSIT) and Information Systems and Technology Management (BSISTM) are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org,  under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Information Technology (BSIT) and Information Systems (BSISTM). Furthermore, CTI was ranked among the top 351-400 colleges worldwide for computer science and information systems by QS in 2023. This ranking places CTI among the top 20 colleges in the Arab region and the top 3 in the nation
