Message from the Dean

Dear Guests,

On behalf of the College of Technological Innovation Students, Faculty, and Staff, I welcome you all to our Web site.

Over a short of period of time the college has become a reference in higher-education institutions in the UAE and Gulf region because of the quality of programs it offers, quality of students it graduates, quality of research it carries out, quality of labs it maintains, to cite just some. Our two programs in IT, Security and Networking Technologies and Enterprise Computing expose students to the latest developments in the fields of security, networking, and enterprise applications, while our two joint programs in Information Systems and Technology Management and Multimedia Design offer students the opportunity to choose a major with an interdisciplinary focus.

Over the last few years, the college has seen a remarkable growth in several critical areas, including student enrollment, number of faculty, research publications and funding, and academic program offerings. Our undergraduate student enrollment continues to grow, producing a good number of graduates who are equipped with the necessary skills to join the world of work. Our graduate program in cyber security with focus on digital forensics, established in fall 2008, also continues to maintain a robust student enrollment of over one hundred students. Some of our undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET, one of the foremost accreditation bodies worldwide for the field of engineering, technology, and computer science. This accreditation shows the college’s strong commitment to high-quality teaching and research.

Innovation in the college’s name along with creativity and entrepreneurship stress out the role that the college has to play in graduating students who will always think differently and positively when solving problems. The entrepreneurial spirit of our students will make them succeed in all aspects of life.

We are delighted that we can contribute to the success of the University and the vision of its founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Dean, College of Technological Innovation
