Network / Security Lab
Location: F2-1-006 (Abu Dhabi Female Campus)
The objective of this lab is to provide students with hands-on experience covering various networking topologies, design, implementation, and administration, as well as exercises aimed at teaching them how to design, build, secure, monitor, and manage client-server systems and heterogeneous networks. Topics addressed encompass Networking History and Concepts, Networking Media standards and features, Networking devices and their interconnections, Introduction to LAN, MAN, and WAN Technologies, Routing and Switching technologies, Wireless Communication Technologies, alongside subjects like Risk Analysis, Security Policy, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Virtual Private Network (VPN), firewalls, Cryptography, Application Security, and System Security, all practiced during the lab sessions.
