Bio

Dr. Xin Hong is an Assistant Professor at Zayed University's Department of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability, specializing in GIS, remote sensing, and artificial intelligence for image classification. She has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Koç University, an Adjunct Instructor at Kent State University, and a consultant for the NASA DEVELOP National Program. Her research focuses on the integrated application of geospatial technologies and AI in environmental pollution and digital archaeology. Her ongoing projects include mapping water bodies in Abu Dhabi using deep learning techniques, creating an archival Anatolian atlas from aerial imagery, and mapping Central Anatolia's cultural heritage.
