Bio

Malin Garemo is a passionate educator in the field of nutrition and public health, who already as a student published a cook book promoting healthy living. In her current position she is chairing the Department of Health Sciences in Abu Dhabi where she is also teaching and conducting research. She is a registered dietician in Sweden and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the US. Malin is a member of the Nutrition Task Force at HAAD (2010-), as well as a member of the Childhood Obesity Scientific Committee at HAAD (2016-) in Abu Dhabi, and she has been the judge at Daman Corporate Health Award, UAE.

  • Slices. 2012-2013. Nutrition consultant. Responsible for developing Slices healthy meal standards including menus, meal plans and modifying recipes for schools meeting international and local standards. Serving >3000 meals daily.

  • Sunrise International Preschool. 2004-2005. Responsible for developing Sunrise’s healthy meal standards including menus, meal plans and modifying recipes for the preschool meeting international recommendations for preschool children and following the neo       humanistic principles of eating (school values).
