World Cancer Day 2025

First Activity:

On February 4th, the College of Natural and Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Public Health & Nutrition Clubs, successfully hosted the World Cancer Day Event as part of UAE Innovation Month.

The event was an exciting day filled with fun and interactive activities designed to raise awareness about different types of cancer. Students, faculties, and distinguished guests, including His Excellency Mohammed Bakheet Ateeq Ali Alremeithi and Prof. James Terry, participated in engaging discussions, educational exhibits, and hands-on activities that emphasized the importance of early detection, prevention, and support for those affected by cancer.

The enthusiastic participation and insightful conversations made this event a memorable and impactful experience for all attendees

Second Activity: 

WDDA

Ms. Lama Andari visited CNHS on February 4, World Cancer Day, to raise awareness about childhood cancer.

Ms. Lama founded Abtaluna, a social enterprise that supports children with cancer and their families by promoting awareness, education, and advocacy.  She is the author of Super Kids, a children's book aimed at normalizing conversations about childhood cancer and educating the community on its signs and symptoms.We cannot prevent childhood cancer.  However, we can learn the signs and symptoms.
