The Mathematics and Statistics Department proudly celebrated Mathematics and Statistics Day on April 22, 2025, at Al Dhowaiher Auditorium. The event was a remarkable success, featuring two distinguished keynote speakers: H.E. Hanan Mansour Ahli, Executive Director of the Competitiveness Sector at the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center, and H.E. Rabaa Mohammed Baniyas, Executive Director of the Corporate Support Sector at Statistics Center Abu Dhabi. In addition, faculty members and master’s students from various disciplines delivered insightful presentations highlighting the critical role of mathematics and statistics in research and real-world applications.

The celebration also included an engaging student poster session, showcasing projects from students across different colleges and illustrating the diverse ways in which mathematics and statistics are applied in various fields. Winners of the poster session were awarded prizes in recognition of their outstanding work. The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and appreciation of the impact of mathematics and statistics in both academia and society.
