Bio

Sunitha Kannenchery is a Senior Instructor of Mathematics and joined Zayed University in 2007. Prior to this, she was employed in the University of Kerala from 1997 to 2007. She was actively involved in curriculum and course design for various courses.  At ZU, she served as a member of the MSCHE self-study committee, contributing to the reaffirmation of accreditation.  From 2011 to 2013, she worked for the design and implementation of the University’s learning assessment plan, organizing, and conducting program reviews, as well as coordinating and documenting specialized and regional accreditations.  Additionally, she served as the Quality Assurance Coordinator of University College at the Abu Dhabi Campus from 2016 to August 2020.

In 2018, she earned the status of a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, U.K., recognizing her achievements in meeting the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.  Furthermore, she is a Certified Specialist in Digital Teaching and Learning and holds the Cambridge ESOL Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults from the University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations. In addition, she is also Certified in Unix and C programming, and she is a Certified Quality Matters Peer Course Reviewer.
