Bio
Sarah joined Zayed University in 2012 and CIS in 2022. She has extensive experience in teaching, designing, and coordination of English writing composition, English language, and academic skills at ZU, Oman, and South Korea. She completed her MA TESOL from UCL in 2011 and a BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology from LSE 2001. She also has professional post-MA certificates in Teaching English for Academic Purposes and Instructional Design. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Higher Education: Research, Evaluation and Enhancement with Lancaster University.
Sarah’s professional and research interests are in, but not limited to, the impact of the use of online social reading programs on students' English reading comprehension, class participation, confidence, and metacognitive skills; metacognition; Digital Education; feedback and assessment systems; and student and faculty identities in education.
