Bio

Romee Capate joined Zayed University as an Instructor at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies in 2024. Before his affiliation with ZU, he taught a range of mathematics, programming, and education courses within various higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines for over ten years. His pedagogical approach underscores the significance of fostering critical and creative thinking, engaging in investigative exploration, promoting innovative problem-solving strategies, and facilitating interdisciplinary connections.

Romee received his bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in Mathematics from Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba where he graduated with honors (cum laude) and his master’s degree in Mathematics Teaching from De La Salle University as a university scholar. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Education with emphasis on institutional resiliency and sustainable development. His main research interests include assessment of cognitive functions and process skills, inclusive education, and digital learning.
