Bio

Dr. Dghaim is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research spanning organometallic catalysis, environmental chemistry, and public health. She completed her doctoral studies in Organometallic Chemistry at McGill University, with her dissertation centered on a novel sequential insertion of imine/CO into late metal-carbon bonds as an innovative approach for synthesizing polypeptides and other biologically significant molecules.

Throughout her academic career at Zayed University, Dr. Dghaim actively contributed to various international presentations and research publications across the fields of chemistry, environmental science, and public health. One of her notable involvements includes participating in a research program that gathered comprehensive data on the health status and the various environmental exposures experienced by adolescents and children living in the United Arab Emirates.

Currently, her research primarily focuses on environmental pollution assessment and the evaluation of chemical and microbial quality of water, soil, and sediments.
