Bio
Pinar Ozdemir Ayber is an HEA Fellow and a certified NLP practitioner. Her professional experience includes IELTS examination, teacher training and mentoring, curriculum, assessment and material development, course coordination, student counseling, ed-tech mentoring, chairing the ABP research committee and chairing the English Writing Studies department.
Before joining Zayed University in 2009, Pinar worked as a curriculum advisor/ coordinator and teacher trainer for Istanbul Bilgi University. She also worked as a freelance teacher trainer for CUP, Istanbul and the Turkish MOE Teacher Formation Programs. At Zayed University, She has taught various courses for the English and Writing Studies department, (ICE) Outreach Program, the College of Education, Academic Bridge Program, well as mentoring SEN teachers for the Al Jalila Foundation.
During her time at Zayed University, she received the Exemplary Merit award in 2014 and the Outstanding Employee Award in 2019. She received the Exemplary Teaching staff award in 2008, at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Pinar’s research interests lie in the areas of teacher feedback and error correction, development and evaluation of language teaching materials, cultural aspects of language in multicultural settings, neuroscience and learning to learn, PLN in education, technology-based teaching and M learning, the impact of Informal Communities of Practices (COPs) on teacher development, role of teacher motivation in PD, creative writing, design thinking and Semiotics in the Gulf area.
