Bio

Necla Arlic joined Zayed University as a Writing Instructor in August 2023. Before her current role, Necla's academic journey spanned across diverse cultural and educational settings, with faculty appointments in the USA, Turkey, and Qatar, as well as teaching experience in England. Necla, a Fulbright alumna, earned her Master’s degree in TESOL/Teaching and Curriculum from the University of Rochester. She has an unwavering passion for advancing the field of language education and understanding the intricacies of language acquisition. Her research interests include second language writing, second language acquisition in adults, second language teaching and learning, bilingualism, multilingualism, and research methods.
