Mariam is a Senior Instructor in the College of Interdisciplinary Studies at Zayed University. She holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE), Certified Apple Teacher, Certified Expert in Digital Teaching and Learning, and Certified Associate in Learning Analytics. Since she started her career in higher education in 2008, she taught a variety of courses in the areas of mathematics, statistics, and programming. She also contributed to the field in several capacities, such as course coordinator, Math program coordinator, Math placement exam creator and facilitator, curriculum leader, mentor, and researcher. In the past, she served as the Chair of the Science Math and Technology Department as well as the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in University College at Zayed University. Before coming to the UAE, she taught math and programming in the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering at Beirut Arab University, Lebanon. Her research interests include Abstract Algebra, Neutrosophy, innovative teaching strategies, and the use of technology in math education.
