Bio
Kate has an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and the Delta (Diploma in teaching English to speakers of other languages). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. With over twenty-five years of teaching experience, she has been teaching at Zayed University since 2010 and has taught in the UK, Turkey, Japan, Tunisia, and Oman. Research interests include the teaching of academic reading and writing. She is also interested in the provision of academic support and other factors impacting student success, especially concerning first-year students.
