Bio
I started teaching English 20 years ago in Barcelona. Then I returned to the UK and completed a Masters in the use of multi-media in Education. This was in 2000 when the use of technology in the classroom was in its infancy. I spent the next 8 years teaching English to asylum seekers and refugees in inner-city London helping them to build their lives. In 2013, I moved to Zayed University where I was able to apply the knowledge I had gained from my Masters. Zayed University was leading the way in the use of technology in education. At the same time, I undertook research into the use of online collaborative writing. This focus on technology became even more relevant when the pandemic forced us all online. Now I am teaching Ethics which is a fascinating and challenging new topic. I am also doing a PhD in online collaborative writing.
