Bio

CJ (Christina) Davison has 25 years of experience in higher education across teaching, administrative, and learning support roles in Canada, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. She believes powerful learning experiences happen only when students are engaged and maintains that improving engagement is a fusion of what the student, the instructor, and the institution do together, with responsibility on all sides of the equation. CJ is a dynamic facilitator both online and in person and has taught a wide array of professional development modules for faculty, as well as undergraduate courses. She has individually mentored 125 faculty to achieve Fellow/Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is herself a Senior Fellow. She has expertise with active learning pedagogies, digital teaching, and second language learners. Her research interests are focused on learning and learners’ experiences, particularly student engagement, adult learning, educational development, and digital teaching approaches.
